About this site

This site compares the bookmakers South Africans search for, with the offer, licence and payment facts read from the operators and the National Gambling Board.

    Updated .

    What is on the site

The site has a ranked list of international sportsbooks that take South African sign-ups and a table of bookmakers licensed by a provincial board with their licence numbers. It adds a comparison of betting apps, a comparison of welcome offers and one page for each sportsbook in the ranking.

Two tools run in the browser: a calculator that turns a deposit into the bonus and the qualifying stakes each offer requires, and a licence checker that searches the names on the NGB verified operators list. Both read the same data file as the tables.

    Where the facts come from

Licence holders, boards and numbers are copied from the National Gambling Board's verified operators list and from the licence line in each bookmaker's footer. Offer percentages, caps, wagering multiples, odds floors and time windows are read from each operator's own bonus rules page. Payment methods are listed only where the operator or the voucher issuer names them in public.

Every page shows the date the facts were last read. A figure that could not be read on that date is left out, so some bookmakers in the licensed table show a licence number and nothing else.

Affiliate links and the ranking order

The Visit buttons on the ranked list and on the sportsbook pages are affiliate links. When a reader opens an account through one, the bookmaker pays this site a commission; the reader pays nothing extra and gets the operator's published offer. The ranked list follows the order of those partner agreements, and the page says so where the list begins.

Bookmakers in the licensed table have no Visit button and pay nothing. They are listed because their licence numbers answer the question most readers arrive with.

    Reaching the editors

Corrections to a licence number, an offer or a payment method go to [email protected]. A message that quotes the operator page or the NGB entry it relies on is actioned fastest.
